January
A traditionally quiet month, it lived up to expectations
February
This month saw the start to engagements for Catherine this year and she came out with, well, with diamonds shining as she attended a function wearing a priceless piece on loan from the queen
She also opened a new Art Room in her role as Royal Patron and attend a reception for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts with Her Majesty the Queen
March
March was a rather quiet month with the traditional outing for Saint Patrick’s Day and an outing to attend the wedding of a friend…it was the first time this year that we saw someone else at the same event wearing the same piece, but it would not be the last
And we got this adorable photo for Mothering Sunday
April
It’s all about the tour of Australia and New Zealand.
May
After a super busy April there was only one engagement for Catherine in May, a day in Scotland
At least we got to see her with a giant teddy bear
June
June saw D-Day Commemorations, a new patronage, a garden party, Trooping the Colour, Ceremonies for the Order of the Garter, and an adorable first trip to the polo field for Prince George … June is always busy for royals and royal watchers and this year was certainly an extra busy one
July
If it’s July it’s time for Tennis and Catherine was in the royal box at Wimbledon twice. Her sporty month continued with kicking off the Tour de France and a trip to Glasgow, Scotland for two days at the Commonwealth Games where she popped in for a visit with one of her charities, SportAid…the cutest moment in July may have come when she joined in to play some children’s games in Glasgow.
August
This month was all about the World War I Commemorations with a visit to Belgium on the 4th and planting poppies at the Tower of London on the 5th.
September
This month was supposed to be packed with appearances and even Catherine’s first solo overseas tour with a two day visit to Malta…but the morning she was supposed to be in Oxford there was news that she would not be attending, instead we were told that Prince George is going to be a big brother and that the tiny new royal should arrive in April or May of 2015
October
Catherine made a return to royal duties at the end of October by taking part in her first State Visit. That night she decided to show us that she knew how to make everyone forget she was pregnant by wearing a stunning hi/low gown by Jenny Packham to an Awards Ceremony. Her daring choices continued at her next event in aid of her long time patronage Action on Addiction.
November
This was the month for Rugby, Remembrance, a first Royal Variety Performance, and plenty of Charity visits. My favorites this month were seeing Catherine together with EACH Ambassador Ed Sheeran at the Royal Variety Performance and working closely with EACH as Catherine attended the Launch of The Nook Appeal. It was so touching to hear the stories out of this event and especially how Catherine made her way through a maze of tables and crowds to hug one of the speakers.
December
The Royal pair came to NYC for a whirlwind visit full of focusing on the work The Royal Foundation hopes to do in the field of wildlife conservation, events that highlighted things that make Britain GREAT as part of an ongoing campaign, and a glitzy fundraiser for St. Andrews
We Got these adorable new photos of Prince George
William and Catherine attended the wedding of friends
and they took part in family traditions to celebrate the holidays
Oh and my personal highlight this year…I received Christmas Greetings from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
It has been quite a year and next year promises to be amazing as well! I hope you’ll join me then as we welcome a new royal and celebrate a record-setting one.
